Whereas academic schools have strict rules where children move through classes based on their age, at Joco the age guidance for the classes is more fluid. Although students will tend to move through the classes (from Pre-School, to A, to B etc) there may be times where your child may be in a class that is advertised here to be above or below their specific age. This will be based on a number of factors pooled together for us to make a decision on which class would be best for them. This could range from factors such as which class may be best in which for them to flourish, to keeping friendship groups together at the parents’ request, or down to more unavoidable factors such as number of available spaces in subsequent classes. We are, of course, very keen to work with parents during the decision making around the above to ensure a school full of happy Joco-ers. If you wish to discuss anything about your child’s class allocation etc, or if circumstances mean that you need to change classes (e.g. Starting Reception for our Pre-School Joco-ers or changing days due to varying family timetables) please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss.
